NU culture

what is it like for people who aren't teh frat/sorority type of person at NU? I'm more of an independent type of person and prefer going out to a show, to teh city rather than partying. What is it like for people like me at NU?

You'll die.

What do you think, haha? Lots of people here go greek and lots don't. Life goes on! Just because a good amount of campus goes greek does not mean it's the only way to have fun, NOR does it mean that greek people won't even acknowledge the presence of non-greeks. You will still have plenty of fun with your greek and non-greek friends.

jcr182, I'm exactly the same way and I've found plenty to do here. You'll be totally fine. I also sometimes go to parties but don't drink, and this is also totally cool.

LOL, dfleish. That was great.

Seriously, though, I'm having the same dilemma as jcr. I'm am pretty much the opposite of the stereotypical Greek/Big Ten/drinking scene and am concerned that I will clash with NU's social atmosphere.
