NU vs. ND

<p>Well acceptance (and rejection) season is over, and now its time to decide. I was accepted to Northwestern's school of communication for theater and Notre Dame as a Theater major. I am really struggling with this decision. I know that Northwestern is clearly the stronger candidate as far as theater goes, but in all honesty I will probably change majors. I am thinking of doing straight music (is it possible to change schools at Northwestern?). I know ND has amazing alumni connections, but in regards to the entertainment industry would NU be up there along side them? Let me know what you guys think =D</p>

<p>Oh P.S. I have a D in calc and ND says i could drop WP and it would have no effect on my decision, but Northwestern says I absolutely cannot drop (I'm guessing a D won't cut it either :P).</p>

<p>The NU Mafia is probably stronger in the entertainment industry than ND is, and yes, you can change schools. My suggestion: Pull up that grade!</p>

<p>Yep. He pretended to be a Northwestern alumnus in order to get connections and get acting jobs. He was wearing a purple NU T-shirt. :)</p>

<p>NU's acting connections go way back. NU alum and actor Charlton Heston died yesterday. In his day, there weren't many bigger names than his in the industry.</p>

<p>From what I understand NU's music program is also stronger than ND's (except for the marching band).</p>

<p>ya i've definitly been leaning northwestern and after this weekend (i am actually in chicago right now, i visited both schools this yesterday) i'm pretty certain I will matriculate at NU. Thx for the help guys :D</p>
