UCSD awards up to 500 points based on how many A-G courses you have completed beyond the minimum for UC requirements

I have two questions...

Is it true that:
33-39 courses: 250 pts ??
40 or more courses: 500 pts ??

And when it says courses, does 1 course = 1 full-year course? or does 1 course = 1 semester course?

Please let me know guys!! Thanks in advance

I believe one course just means completing the course, however long it is.

suppose you’re taking an english class that is split into two semesters? Then is it two courses or just one?

If one course = one year-long course, then the maximum number of courses you could take with 6 periods all 4 years is 24…so that would make it kindof impossible to get 40+ courses to get the 500 pts. THat’s why I’m wondering if one course is just referring to one semester?

Haha its a a complicated question, but thanks for the response

I read on another forum that each semester counts as 1 class. It would be pretty impossible to have 40 or 50+ classes if each class only counts as 1, no matter how long it is.

okay, thanks for the confirmation! I came to the same conclusion and just wanted to double-check.
