Number of hours for homework?

but newest you stated that not studing on Friday and Saturday was:

“… more due to procrastination and general laziness”,

didn’t you?

i would assume the vast majority of students are procrastinators…for those who had high GPA’s in science / engineering, 3.7+, did they spend a more significant amount of time on HW?

How many hours of homework/week does a Math major do approximately? What about ORFE majors?

I’m a math major with GPA 3.7+, and you can check out the schedule I posted earlier in the thread. I put in around 10-12 hours on my math problem sets and have learned how to do well in my other classes without really doing any work.

“for those who had high GPA’s in science / engineering, 3.7+, did they spend a more significant amount of time on HW?”

Not necessarily. Obviously, there are people who don’t go out on weekends. But from my experience, I know many people who don’t do a whole lot of work on Friday or Saturday, and they’re making above a 3.7 GPA. It just all depends on who you are and how you handle the material as a whole. Some people are just inherently better at learning the material.

For problem sets/assignments about 10 hours a week…

For reading, an extra 25 hours a week.

For studying, 0 to 50 hours a week depending on the week (usually 0 unless I have a midterm coming up, which requires about 10-20 hours of studying per midterm… I studied ~50 hours a week during finals week because I slacked off during reading period).
