I've been interested in nursing since I was a sophomore in high school, but now that I'm a senior, I feel that a liberal arts college is a better fit for me than a university that offers a BSN degree. I'm still highly interested in pursuing a career in nursing though I also want to have the kind of unique experience a quirky, small liberal arts college like Swarthmore would give me. Would I absolutely have to sacrifice a nursing degree for a liberal arts education at Swarthmore (of course, if I even get accepted), or is there any way I can find a compromise between the two?

I know several swatties who went to nursing school after swarthmore - there are 2 or 3 year program that get your a masters in nursing, even without nursing classes as an undergrad. The people I know have gotten these degrees at top, top nursing schools. i don’t know where this puts them, career wise, in comparison to having gotten a BA in nursing, although I do know that they each had their choice of jobs afterwards.
