ny cc to cornell human ecology + some other schools

heeyyy. i've been laying low on this board mostly reading but i decided to make a post b/c i will be applying to schools this fall as a transfer :)

grades/ec/work:
-my gpa after 2 semesters + 1 summer session = 3.6
-the only ec i am in is a bio. club
- have been working (~2 yrs) as a vet. tech. (good considering i want to be a bio. major)
-will graduate with an AS at my CC in may 06'

i want to major in biology, and i have been looking into:
SUNY Binghamton, Rutgers, UConn, and Cornell Human Ecology (for the Human Biology, Health and Society major)

The only one i am really nervous about applying to is Cornell HE b/c it would most def. be a "reach". I'm not 100% sure i want to even bother applying b/c i don't know if i have any chance at all, which is why i am looking for advice from all of you :). the only thing i really have going for me is that in state students (since Cornell HE is a state part of cornell) get preference, especially if they graduate from a NYS CC w/ an associates.

advice please . thanks !

Are you male or female? If you're a male, I would say your chances are very good. The 2004 numbers for Cornell HE Transfers are as follows:

Applicants

Male - 37
Female - 128
Total - 165

Accepted

Male - 31
Female - 58
Total - 89

Enrolled

Male - 12
Female - 48
Total - 60
