<p>I would love to hear what others think of these essays. I liked them much more than last year’s batch:

<p>To be honest, I liked them all and really can’t give preference to last year’s or this year’s. </p>
<p>I forgot to comment on how much I loved these essays, especially the first one, and have showed them to other students who were looking for a bit of inspiration. The hiking one struck home</p>
<p>The essays are nice, but the one thing that strikes me is that at least two of them referred to the writer’s impoverished condition, and the other two, in one way or the other, refer to something related to money: a parent losing a job in the first, realizing what you have is enough in the second. Am I seeing a pattern here?</p>

<p>Have to agree with with @oldmom4896 I liked this years batch much better than 2013. </p>
<p>I agree with both @oldmom4896 and @VSGPeanut101 this years were better imo, but they were pretty decent in 2013 as well</p>
