There was a good article today in the New York Times regarding the Citizen Science program.

I don’t think my d is too much into science, but I think she would enjoy the immersion, as long as she doesn’t resent having her break cut short.

I’m sorry my son missed this (being a sophomore now.) I think it sounds fantastic. Wish the rest of us had the chance at something like this - though the small problem of a regular job does get in the way. I do envy those college students, though.

Just based on one review, but my D who just finished up Citizen’s Science last week thought, overall, it was a good program and was worthwhile.

Of course, I would imagine there are some “kinks” to work out for next year’s program. But this is coming from a student who does not intend to major in science or math, and still enjoyed the classes and her teachers. She was not overjoyed with the thought of having her winter break at home cut short by 3 weeks, but still looked back on it as a positive experience.

My kudos to Bard and President Botstein on, once again, pushing the envelope on providing an excellent education for their students!
