Since the passwords are apparently not going to be found out this year for the regents :-S , I figured I'd make this thread to discuss the test..

The reason I am making it now (as opposed to on Friday) is because I want to ask everybody to PLEASE STORE YOUR ANSWERS IN YOUR CALCULATOR. What I mean by that is, after you finish, right before you hand it in, type all of your multiple choice answers into your calculator, so we can all compare. If you had just guessed on one or two (or three or four...) and you want to say that, on the next line in your calculator, just write which you guessed on (so we know not to debate those). I personally will be writing my short answer answers in my calculator, as well, so if anyone else wants to do that, feel free (if you don't, it's not a big deal - if I write them, that is usually enough for someone to remember the question so we can discuss)

Good Luck Everybody!

why won’t the passwords be leaked?

Something about them making them harder to figure out this year, lol

whoever’s taking the geometry regents should also store answers in your calculator :l save it under prgm!

Please make your own thread for your own issues (do not hijack others…) thanks…

I’ve been brute forcing the us history regents for over 2 days now and no luck with a password, guess its true all the answer keys will be almost impossible to crack this year

@ jamesjunkers alright but I was js since geometry and physics on same day a** -_-

Who plans on helping me with physics tomorrow

The point is, if you start talking about geometry here, people are going to start talking about it, and it may turn into a geometry discussion; you can easily start your own thread if you need to

I’ll save all my m.c into my calc. good idea! Does anyone know when we get our scores back btw? Good luck 2 all

Thanks! And it depends on when your school wants to give them back They are usually graded within a week, but my school, for example, does not give them back until our 4th quarter report cards (in early July)

We get our reportcards late June. But you can email your teacher if you really want at my school, since they’re graded so soon.

I already have 3 regents I need for Advanced Regents Diploma, so I’m not too stressed for tomorrow. I’m just going to go in blind and use my reference table and hope I can pass.

Any advice on how I should study for this if I’ve forgotten everything I’ve learned this past year?

@kapanadze,
Well that’s not good
You should at least take 1 past regents, and see where you need to study
Or google Physics Regents review sheets and read through them

Thank, will do. Do you think it’ll be helpful reading through all my physics packets I’ve gotten or will it just be a waste of time?

Honestly, I don’t think you can re-learn all of it (if you are actually forgetting the large majority) in a couple hours, so my bet would be that it’s a waste of time. I would suggest doing as many practice questions as you can (regents are very repetative, so if you can memorize certain concepts that keep appearing, it should increase your score)

For example, [almost] every test asks you to name vector/scalar quantities, most of the time being you have to know speed is a scalar, and velocity is a vector

If you know how to use the reference table, you should be good for a lot of it. Just don’t forget to substitute with units (stupid way to lose a point - or a lot of points)

haha yeah, my physics teacher doesn’t fail to remind us to always include units. Ok well, thanks!

I’ll try to save my answers, however, knowing me, I’ll probably be the last one taking the test still with more time needed.

anyone know if the ti nspire is permitted on the regents?
