I have a weighted 3.8, a 33 on Acts and have taken all honors and AP classes. I do have two Cs in AP classes. Will the Cs hurt my chances of getting into NYU arts and sciences? Will applying ED help? thanks so much!
ED will help. What is your unweighted GPA? Can you afford 75k a year or do you need financial aid?
What did you get on the AP test (of the 2 courses you got C’s in)?
thank you all for the input. My unweighted GPA is around a 3.2. of the two Cs one was actually an honors class - my mistake. For the other I got a three on the AP.
Your GPA is lower than usual, but your test scores are solid. Schools might think you’re lazy which is not good, but they may give you the benefit of the doubt if your schedule is rigorous. You should have a decent shot if you apply ED. In Regular decision, it’s a low reach. Hopefully your essays and extracurriculars make up for it. Good luck!
