Hey guys I applied for NYU Poly for Regular Decision. Can anyone tell me about the financial aid rumor?
Currently it says 2016: Award Access Not Avaliable.
Was there any correlation between financial aid status and your decision? Thank you I will deeply appreciate your responses!
Hey Yoshi, I applied ED I to NYU Stern. In my view, there was an extremely strong correlation between the financial aid change and acceptance. I received the financial aid change and was accepted. May I ask when you received this change? (Approximate date would be awesome) Thanks man.
@curryeater259 I have a question to ask you, my friend. I only “Award access not available” as opposed to Yoshi’s 2016 “Award Access not Available.” Am I doomed? Thanks!
Hey collegeplease123, no worries. The “Award access not available” means that you have not yet been accepted. However, there were people in ED I who received the FA change the day of acceptances. They were then promptly accepted. However, there were people who did not receive the change, and they were rejected. Not having the FA change right now doesn’t mean you’re doomed, you’re going to have to wait a bit longer. Good Luck!
@curryeater259 It’s just that, a bunch of people in the thread are so qualified, and I feel so negative about my chances… If I may ask, with a 2020 SAT score, 3.5 UW GPA, (Taiwanese Male applying for CS at CAS) and great EC’s, I assume that my chances are just meh… Your thoughts on this would be greatly appreciated, man!
I had the change this morning, now its gone

@curryeater259 Thank you for your response! I noticed the change yesterday however I didn’t check Albert on the 18th or 19th. I can’t recall exactly but the only thing that changed was that they added 2016.
Sorry, I don’t have much knowledge on CAS, but in my opinion I think you’d get in (My opinion is really not worth much lol). If you want to get a picture of who they accepted for Stern, ED I, my stats were a 2340 sat score and a 3.4 GPA UW.

It’s not reliable. The housing change is more reliable, as Albert was reset.
@collegeplease123 is there any proof from the ED I and II that the housing change is true?
@Yoshi24 Very good question. According to a couple of sources, there’s a correlation, but no hard-copy evidence. At this point, I think there really aren’t any signs, and it’s pretty much useless to play “detective” in your Albert login page or even the NYU Housing Portal. It sounds so overused, but just a couple more days man.
@collegeplease123 yeah it’s just driving me nuts how on be housing page I am an nonrenewable undergrad while others are freshmen but I have the 2016 on my FA while others don’t. It’s like the two contradict each other. Are the decisions coming on the 27th?
A very good chance it might be released then. In the meantime, just sit tight and wait until the 27th.
