NYU or UCSB (Pre-Med)

I’m a high school senior who’s been admitted to NYU and UCSB as a neuroscience. I was just trying to gather more info and find out more about whether the pre-med program at NYU is better than the program at UCSB, as well as more stats about being accepted to med school from each of these universities. Also, I am a CA resident. Also NYU gave me $31,200 in scholarship, $3000 in work/study, FAFSA gave me the rest in loans, and as of right now UCSB has not given me anything. So the cost for NYU is only a little higher than it would be for UCSB. I was wondering which would be the better option for me. Thank you

How committed are you to the medical field (IE., if you cannot easily be a doctor, are you okay with being a nurse practioner or a PA? Have you shadowed a doctor, volunteered at a clinic?)
Would your parents have to take on loans for either one? Did you get into any other university?
Premed is just an intention you declare: that you commit to being top 10-20% in every class you take. You can have any major.
A college ‘good for premed’ means a student body that’s collaborative, ample support and resources, and a good value with as little debt as possible.
Neither university is especially known for those characteristics - although UCSB Instate would likely win in terms of value - so what makes you consider them?
