NYU Paris vs. Sweetbriar program

Any experience with either program? Costs, organization, caliber of program? NYU has more information online. Seems well organized.

The NYU Paris program was great in terms of organization and caliber of program. There are two different levels - one where the courses are taught all in French, and the other one taught in English - I am only familiar with the French-taught program, and that one was excellent. The cost was relatively similar in terms of NYU tuition, but there were also living and travel expenses. NYU Paris sponsored some trips/excursions that were very educational.

Thanks! great to hear from someone who has been in the program. Academics at NYU sound excellent with an option to study in English or French. (Most study abroad programs we've seen expect students to study in French only.) NYU seems to have a good reputation for communicating with students and parents -- online and in person. Keeps everyone on the same page. What was your experience with non-academic aspects -- housing, incidental expenses, etc?

There are several different types of housing choices that are offered - homestay, apartment, single, double, etc. depending on individual preferences. The NYU Study Abroad website has a board where prospective applicants can ask questions, and someone from Study Abroad will respond. Also, if you have any specific questions, they can also be reached via phone or e-mail. You can also send me a PM, and I will do my best to answer questions regarding housing, etc. in greater detail.

This is wonderful. I'll go to their Web site to have a look around and, thanks, I'll PM you re: questions. It's really great that students have options for several types of living arrangements. NYU seems very flexible. I'm finding much less flexibility in other Paris programs.

Our family was very satisfied with the NYU Study Abroad programs (both Tisch and CAS) both in Paris and other countries. Two study abroads were taken in Paris and the other two in two other countries.
