@emmcar Then again I didn’t get the email saying decisions are going to be released on the 28th. Don’t worry! I am an international applicant, so that might be why I got his email. I only had to sent in my CSS.

I haven’t received any of these emails either, but it’s possible that there are circumstances (like location, financial aid documents received, etc.) independent of our admission decisions that are impacting who the email recipients are.

Hey @book05 I got the same mail a couple of days back. I’m an international applicant too.

I am also an international student and got the email about the CSS last week, tho I did not get an email about the change in the notification date…

I think all international students get that mail, as I got it too.
And as @krokoziab said, no email about the notification date.

I didn’t get an email about RD decision being on the 28th of March…very worrying

i didnt get that email either

I got the e-mail and spoke to someone in the NYU fin. aid dept. If you didn’t submit the FAFSA, then you will not be considered for federal fin. aid. If you didn’t submit the CSS, then at no time during your studies at NYU will you be considered for NYU merit based aid. It has nothing to do with whether you will be admitted, or not, just the financial side of things. Good luck to all those who really want to attend NYU.
Most schools like to get these things done on a friday, rather than a Tuesday. The staff likes to enjoy their weekends also. Besides, we have waited three months now, and most of us are already into at least 1 school. I see no difference whether my decision comes on friday, or tuesday.

crapp so I chose that I wanted to be considered for merit aid, didn’t apply for financial aid and didn’t submit the CSS. They must have rejected me for being an idiot…

^I am sure they don’t mind when students do not ask for money.

so if u see a 2015 next to ur fiancial aid thing in albert portal its a good sign…also there is a tab to “accept/deny financial aid”…does everyone have this?

I’ll check again - but I checked a few days ago and didn’t have this!

I have it. It says ‘award access not available’. I wouldn’t take it as a positive sign, though.

I have the financial aid thing as well, but I pretty much doubt it means anything

idk. if you check on the early decision forum alot of domestic people who had the change got accepted

its probably nothing though

Are you sure you just never noticed that? I’ve had that tab forever I’m pretty sure… at least as long as I can remember. And no FA change

FA change theory has been debunked afaik

How/why was the theory debunked?

@IBDiplomaVictim is correct. FA change theory has been debunked with the ED II admission results.
