Does anyone know if we can choose our room style (as in suite v. studio and number of roommates) or just the residence hall?

do international students get the admission package from NYU, or do they just admit us and forget about us?
@Jamie151 international students get the admission package. I’m International and received my package via mail 3 days ago.
@Jamie I received mine yesterday from US to NZ. They send everyone the package; maybe yours is taking longer or gasp lost in the mail (highly unlikely)
has anyone seen in a change in their FA summary from award access not available to real financial aid offers? mine still says award access not available. I called a couple days ago and they said they were still reviewing my profile but I hate this wait… like I’ve already waited long enough just to hear my decision hahaha
@indiahyland They told me that they would take a week-ish. Emphasis on -ish. Don’t worry, you’ll get your FA before May 1. Try to occupy your mind with other things that aren’t uni-related 
@SpicyRamen okay thanks! will try my best to forget about FA. do you know if they’ll email us once its updated or does it just show up on Albert and we have to go in and check it?

Is it true there aren’t any public bathrooms throughout the city? My brother said only “sit down restaurants, libraries, and NYU” have bathrooms available to use… Is he just playing with me, or is there some truth to this?
@PAwind98Mostly You can find public bathrooms in the parks throughout the city (including Washington Sq) I have no idea whether or not they are well maintained. You can also find bathrooms that may not be locked in coffee shops, department stores, barnes and nobles, that kind of thing.
I applied to nyu stern as my primary campus of choice, but I was also accepted into shanghai. Everything I’ve been getting however is about shanghai nothing even eluded to the fact that I would be accepted into nyc campus stern, and when I emailed them they said:
"Thank you for contacting the NYU Office of Undergraduate Admissions.
The decision in your NYU Albert applicant portal applies to all NYU campuses and schools. Your application was considered for any and all NYU programs and campuses for which you indicated an interest.
You will not be receiving a separate decision communication from another NYU campus."
Now when I log on to albert, I can’t even find my admissions decision, and I can’t accept and decline the offer, what the hell am I supposed to do now?
@runzwitsiccors if you were accepted into shanghai, that means you were rejected to NYU stern. you can’t be accepted into both.
@runzwitsiccors You can download your admission letter by first logging into Albert, then click on "Application Status, then click on “Admission Decision,” then click on “Decision Letter.”
this is a really silly question, but does NYU give you money based on how you dress at school/the vacations you go on for the next 3 years?
I got a 30k scholarship (no financial aid) and will be renewed as long as I keep up my grades, and my parents are really paranoid and telling me not to wear designer brands when I go to NYU and don’t want me telling anyone that I am going on vacation this year or post pics about it on social media b/c they think that if NYU “finds out”, then they will lessen the money they will give me for the next years of college. Is this actually true?
@camwow No, your scholarships are merit based and renewed based on you keeping a certain GPA.

Hi guys I recently committed to NYU with acceptance to its BA/DDS 7 Year program…Anyone else here got accepted to it? I am also wondering when I can view my courses and NYU email. My friend applied for early decision, committed, and now is able to view stuff that I can’t Lol. She said course selection is on the 24th so hopefully I get everything before then!
@tfries11 a lot of people on the NYU 2021 facebook page have said that you get your email a couple days to a week after you commit. but basically it’s just your NYU ID @nyu.edu
