@sou1998 Its sorta impossible to chance an international student, as really anything can happen to them. However, your application is extremely impressive and is bound to catch their eye. If you did not apply for financial aid, then I would like to say you have a great chance of getting in, but since you are an international student, its still hard to tell (especially since I do not know much about the process for internationals and their standards). If you did apply for financial aid, then it just got a lot times harder for you to get in because NYU is not need blind for internationals.

Hi guys, this is just another chance me because I’m freaking out a bit

Domestic Applicant from Colorado
College of Arts and Sciences

GPA: 3.81 UW
ACT: 34
Rank: Top 20%, not sure of the specific rank

Courses: Full IB Diploma Candidate with 7 IB classes this year, I took almost the entirety of the school’s fine art courses in my 4 years

EC:
President and founder of Asian Culture Club, I emailed them an update about how much money our fundraiser made mid February
Volunteer Gallery Attendant at local art gallery
National Honors Society
Part time job at Panera (~20h a week)

Recs:
Chem teacher, pretty close but she’s been teaching for 25 years so I’m probably not anything special, supervised me for my Extended Essay in Chemistry
Psychology and TOK teacher, really nice and I’ve heard she writes good recs,
Art teacher, we’re really close and I’ve been essentially interacting with her for 4 years now at this point

Essays:
My common app was about being terrified of making decisions regarding painting
My Why NYU was decent and I wrote about being able to continue art while being a science major. it’s pretty standard lmao

@caseyxcasey You should have a great chance! My son is also an IB student in CO. Did you hear from any other colleges yet?

Does anyone’s portal have more than High School Transcripts and Standardized Tests listed as received? Since there has been no followup about needed items, we assume it’s fine but wondered if anyone has their other submitted items listed?

@momof3co Thank you I’ve just been freaking out since I got rejected from Northwestern and Johns Hopkins! I’ve been accepted to CU Boulder and UW Seattle so far, and just need to hear back from NYU and Columbia (My major reach)

Hi, I’m also from Colorado!
From Lakewood High (well known for Katy Perry concert lol)
I applied to Tisch institute of Hospitality management (sps)
Here are my stats

GPA: 4.0uw/ 4.45 w
Increased honors and AP classes year after year and managed to pass with straight A’s

ACT: 31 one sitting

EC: Founder/ pres of Multicultural student association, pres of NAHS, Link Leader, NHS, Key club, DECA, art club, Jeffco Student Voice, Wind ensemble section leader, Colorguard, internship at a business hotel in Korea etc

I’m South Korean permanent resident
And I wrote my common app essay about building and managing my own club and growing with it and for why nyu I wrote about my internship experience and a broad range of opportunities Nyu might give me.

Do you guys think I have a good chance at getting into sps hospitality managment? I haven’t seen a lot of people apply to this major… I’ve been rejected from BC, UCLA, and Cornell… so I’m kinda waiting for a rejection from NYU also… I’ll probs end up at CU boulder smh

@caseyxcasey Really just relax and realize you did all you could, and now it’s not in your hands so you don’t have to worry about changing anything. I really believe these things work out the way they were supposed to! You have accepts, so no matter how it turns out, you are going to college and that’s a great blessing.

@nyunyu2017sk You have wonderful stats! Strange coincidence that although my son’s graduating in Aurora, I am an LHS alum! So you are walking the halls I did (a long time ago lol). I don’t know about the sps hospitality management program at all, but you should have a great shot at NYU.

I’ve been so surprised over the years by how the options I thought were the best ones (that didn’t work out) ended up in hindsight being the total wrong ones! What we want is not always what is best for us and our futures, so please don’t worry about it and try to enjoy every moment of your senior year. Before you know it, it will be over and you’ll want to think of it fondly and remember its best moments.

Hey guys !
Anyone here applied to NYU Tandon Computer Engineering ?

@K2499 I also applied to Tandon CompSc, I haven’t seen many Tandon school applicants here!

Computer science and computer engineering are different

Also any of you know how selective is Tandon?

@nyunyu2017sk Cornell came out?

Got an email saying that my College Board Non-Custodial Waiver was approved, hope this is a good sign

Hello, has anyone else received an email asking “whether you have been offered admission to another college or university under an Early Decision program”? Do I need to acess their link ? ( I haven’t been offered admission from Early Decision)

@dvenom yes, i received the same e-mail. If you haven’t been offered through Early Decision, then do not click that link.

Does nyu offer spring/winter admission?

@devnom When did you receive the email?

What does everyone have on their FA page? I have 2018 New York University and Award access not available. It’s seems like ED1 candidates had more years listed and I’m just wondering if anyone has additional years or just 2018.
