@ssaedw I have the same thing as you. I didn’t fill anything out but I see I can do the Summer application and then in later steps Fall 2017 application.

Curious. Anyone did not get the email a couple of weeks ago asking if you commetted early action to another college?
@Bcrator It was about Early Decision and yes. Everyone here got the email.
@Rav115 Not true. @Bcrator I also didn’t get the email, as well as someone else way back in the thread. I’m not taking it as a bad sign (I’m not one to read into these pre-decision admission indicators in general). Was New York your primary campus of interest?
Got waitlisted to Washu, Wesleyan Univ, and Wake Forest. Got rejected from 10 schools and only got into my state school. I really hope some good can come from all this speculation
@anshikka I have no qualification to chance you, but I know a little bit about the two programs.
CS at CAS is part of Courant Institute and one of the hardest programs to get in. In contrast, Tandon is NYU’s recent push into engineering and relatively unknown until NYU’s magic make it as good as everything else. It should therefore be easier to get into Tandon.
The good news is that you have a choice of two great programs with one application. I hope this helps, and good luck to you.

Those of you who are saying that you didn’t get the early decision email - have you checked your spam?
Yeah, I’ve checked everything. I’ve gotten other correspondence from them, but never that email.

@TJ2021 that is the first time that I’m hearing about this, and it sounds extremely weird! There were just so many people in this thread that got that email (and let’s just face it: not all of us are gonna get accepted haha) so the fact that you didn’t get one sounds like their system might have failed - and if I’m under the right impression, this wouldn’t be the first time that their system does something like this? Anyway, what I’m trying to say is that ignoring this and not letting it affect you is probably a good idea 
I really wonder what the admission people think about this thread.

As we conclude our evaluation of candidates for admission to New York University, we’d like to update you on our decision notification process.
On March 30th we will email you with the specific link you will use to view your admissions decision. Please ensure you’ve activated your NYU Home account beforehand by logging into start.nyu.edu with your NetID and following the instructions.
Decisions will be released intermittently throughout the day, so please wait to receive your email with the special link before looking for your official admissions decision.
We will begin releasing decisions over the phone on Monday April 3rd.
Should you have any questions about your decision notification, please email admissions@nyu.edu.

We are checking in to determine if you have been offered admission to another college or university under an Early Decision program and have now made a binding commitment to another institution. You do not need to respond to this email and you do not need to reiterate your interest in NYU. This communication is simply to determine if you have already committed to attend another college or university through a binding Early Decision program.
I know most of this probably doesn’t mean anything, but i’m desperate and incredibly nervous and just looking for anything reassuring, that can calm me down =)
