GUYS PLEASE RELAX. From what Iâve seen on last years threads, decesions will only be out at 5PM EST so donât keep checking and creating portal traffic. BUTTTTTT, if you get an email about 10-15 minutes before 5PM EST, you are most likely waitlisted/rejected. If you get it at 5 EST or later, you are most likely accepted.
But they said theyâre doing waves throughout the day this yearâŠ
^yup I am guessing that the âwavesâ last year were rejection at 4:45 EST and others afterwards
Well they specifically said that decisions would be coming throughout the dayâŠalso they said you could access your decision on Albert but the full letter wouldnât be available there only through a special link they were sending to your email. Pretty sure theyâre doing it that way to avoid crashing Albert.
Iâm pretty sure that I read somewhere that they will be sending out decision according to where you live in order to minimize disruption (they try not to send it while youâre at school)
That was from two years ago. It sounds like theyâre doing it differently this year. Especially since no one has a decision yet and in previous years emails had been sent by now

You would already know this is you read the email NYU sent you last year, or if you simply read comments on than your own here. This is the first year theyâre doing decisions like this so you cannot base it off past years at all. Please stop. Good luck.
