besides UCSD, my son also got into UCSB & UCD, but I’m afraid UCLA & UCB is different ball game, less than 20% waitlist got in (but I still have hope)
BU waitlist was a sad surprise, hopefully NYU is different!
Good luck!

Everyone please stop stressing over these small housing portal changes. They don’t mean anything, people who had no change to their portal have also been accepted. Stay positive, remind yourself that you will be fine wherever you choose to go and make the best out of it. My best wishes to everyone here.
Will anyone chance me?
I have been accepted to WPI, Umass Amherst, BU (spring semester), Northeastern (N.U.In), and Fordham.
ACT: 31
GPA: 3.5
ECs: figure skater for 10 years, at the highest level, work 3 jobs, marketing captain for robotics club, 200+ community service hours, 2 service trips
Recommendation letters: submitted 2 for NYU and both were very strong and were mentioned by other colleges in my acceptance letter.
My scores and gpa are on the lower side, but i have been surprised by my acceptances so far. Would anyone chance me? Also, does anyone knows when decisions will be released?
@dbrusoccer Good luck to us both!
@ecs2024 Please create a separate thread as to not clog up this one. That being said, decisions are likely to come out on ivy day (3/28).
ivy day is 3/26
Hi everyone, I heard on reddit that they’re actually going to send the decisions next week
hopefully it’s not true, but that’s what I saw
is there a reason that they think that or they’re just guessing it’ll be next week
It could be possible… April 1 is next week.
Colleges who state that they would release decisions “by April 1st” rarely release it on April 1st. afaik NYU has never released that date, but it may be different this year due to other circumstances.
There was an update sent to the NYU community (students, staff and parents) today about the Covid situation, which included the following paragraph:
I am not sure whether to take the “send next week” literally, as in past years there has been reference to the official (1 April) date when it has actually been earlier. That said… I am pretty sure (but not absolutely sure) that in past years/rounds when it has been released on a Thursday, that the notification email has been sent out by the Tuesday evening.
Can someone please share the link to that thread.
Thank you. Yeah, it definately does say next week. So maybe Monday or Tuesday? But I’m sure they will send an email when they have an actual confirmed date.
Out of curiosity, does everyone’s NYU Start page for account information say “account is disabled· and ·Password is not synchronized with LDAP”. It’s under ‘Active Directory’. Hoping for the best honestly…
@LeviAru mine does
yup
I’m confused, where are you seeing this?
what’s that supposed to mean?
