hey 1/6 still isn’t too bad of a statistic. I’ll still take it and be hopeful!
Hey Guys!!! I got into NYU as an Early Decision candidate. I remember being on CC asking the same questions about glitches in the system, portal changes, housing updates. Those things aren’t indicative of anything so don’t trust those blindly. If you guys have any questions lmk!!
whats office of the bursar
??
@gungagiginggong the office of the bursar is what students use to pay deposits and fees throughout their time at NYU. You can access it by logging onto NYU Albert and clicking NYU Housing Payments on the first page and then allowing the pop-up and logging in using the same info you use to get into your portal (if you aren’t automatically logged in from Albert).
why do i have it as i am not yet a student
@gungagiginggong every applicant has it. I think it just goes along with having an NYU ID or something.
can anyone log into this https://newclasses.nyu.edu/portal
I have an nyu email
i can log into that, does it mean anything?
no idea, but does anyone know if an nyu email means anything
@gungagiginggong what do you mean by an NYU email ?
like it says you have an eemail @nyu.edu
@gungagiginggong I’ve noticed you’ve been reading tea leaves into the portals and sites provided NYU. Let me first advise you to read the past forums of ED I and ED II of 2024 and 2023. In the forums you’ll find a lot of the myths of NYU’s admission “secrets” all debunked. Everyone has the emails(but they’re not activated yet), the housing ids, access to the bursar.
Let me repeat for the millionth time. Admission results are out in two days, March 30th. I’m sure we can sit tight and wait for results until then. Any changes occurring within the portal(until right before decisions) have been proven to have ZERO correlation with admission decisions. And unless there is an actual official source that says otherwise, my statement still stands. Good evening and thank you.
@LeviAru okay thats your opinion. but my friends who were accepted EA this year said theyre good signs
Hello! I processed FAFSA in January. I checked my portal previously + it was checked off, but I went to look at my portal today to see if I could log in, and FAFSA now says “awaiting.” I contacted them about it, but does anyone know if this is going to impact my financial aid
@SJ2727 is that stat for international applicants as well?
What stat, admit rate? It’s the overall one. I don’t know if NYU releases a breakdown of domestic vs international but international is usually lower. For NYU that will partly be because domestic admits are need-blind but internationals are need-aware.
Also bear in mind that the overall admit rate is a combination of a relatively high ED admit rate and a lower RD one. ED admit rate last year was just under 28%, looks like RD was around 13%.
What school and major were you admitted to?
@gungagiginggong I just realized that I have one too.
