where’s the housing portal
I don’t know if this means anything but at first, I mean at the beginning of this month, I saw people in this thread talking about housing so I looked it up and mine was shown only spring 2020 and summer 2020 and I was freak out cause I thought I was not gonna get in. However, I kept checking it, again and again, every day and on around March 15, my spring 2020 disappeared and it has a new option academic year 2020-2021 with the waitlist undergraduate underneath and I can access the housing application to the end so I was more confused but just thinking that it might be a good sign.
@Pestarry but isnt it bad if it says waitlist undergraduate? cause that means wait list.
To be honest, I have no clue. But seems like all of us who have this option have a waitlist undergraduate so I literally don’t know.

People who had academic year have gotten rejected. Housing portal does not indicate anything. Things will show once we accept the offer to attend Nyu.
@gungagiginggong I also don’t have it. Many people got accepted without the change. So, all hopes not lost yet!
It’s not over till it’s over. NYU is one of my last hope schools (only Tulane left) after 18 rejections and 1 waitlist…
I would just like to point out that, as we’ve said previously, the housing application updates have NEVER been indicative of an admissions decision.

how long until the results are released?
When I initially applied I didn’t sign up for housing bc I thought I wanted to live off-campus but I changed my mind recently and just went to fill out a housing application. When I opened the application it had already filled in the email address field for me with an @nyu.edu email address. Could this mean something?
wait does that mean you have to apply for housing before you even get in?

I have only Summer 2020 with the heading:
“Please select a site if you are applying to live in NYU housing and are not part of an NYU academic program (e.g. CAS Summer in London):”

To be honest at this point like since its almost certain decisions are coming out today, there is no point talking about housing until it comes out and see whether there was actually correlation. Otherwise I am so nervous about decisions coming out today and good luck to me and good luck to everyone!

I just checked my housing portal and I have the Summer 2020 option with a dropdown menu for New York, Abu Dhabi, Washington D.C. and LA.
I also have Fall 2020 and the description says this:
“Welcome to NYU! Our records indicate you are being admitted to the Spring 2021 term. Please check back here on October 15, 2020 to complete the Spring 2021 housing application. If you have already paid your housing reservation payment with your admissions deposit, it will be applied to the Spring 2021 term and will be noted in your application.”
