Hello everyone! I am going to be transferring into Stern as of next fall and I am really excited for what awaits. Before I ask my main question, I would like to know if its still possible to double major considering I am transferring in rather than entering as a freshman?

If it is possible to double major as a transfer, what are the best combinations I can do. I am genuinely interested in Marketing and International Business, but more and more I am being drawn to Finance for its fantastic program at Stern. I also have been studying foreign language for a year now and I would like to apply it in International Business.

Best combinations and why? Finance/Marketing, Finance/International Business, International Business/ Marketing?

Thank you!

Yes, email your regional counselor and include your number (looks like N1234567) and ask for a major change. Yes it is also possible to double major as a transfer.

There is no best combination you can do; its like saying whats better peaches or watermelons…apples or oranges. If you want to do marketing and international business then do it pursue something you’re interested in. Keep in mind that a majority of STERN students major in finance so it is more competitive but it is indeed a fantastic program.

It’s definitely possible to double concentration. You only need about 4-5 courses for each concentration. And what you want to double it with depends on your interest. It’s usually Finance ( ranked 1st) and something else. I’d prefer Marketing. Congratulations on getting in. I’ll be internally transferring to Stern next fall as well :D
