I went to the New York University website today and read that along with the Common Application I need to submit the NYU suppliment application to the common appp, which can be found on the common app website. Problem is, I can't seem to find it anywhere! Does anyone know where the NYU suppliment app can be found? Thanks!!

It will (like most colleges’ supplements) come out on August 1st when the Common App is released

It’s so frustrating! I really wished they opened the common app sooner so people can get more time to work on them. Plus, i heard that they have like 4 or 5 supplement essays so i don’t know…

Oh God, four or five?! Not cool. But not much time left!

Ohhh ok, thanks! August 1st…that would be tomorrow! Yay

Yes, NYU has 4-5 supplement writing pieces, but they’re not essays :P. They’re short little things. Like last year, it was a poem, plus two brief questions which only wanted a brief answer (around a paragraph in length).

It can be downloaded from the NYU main website.

This year there are only 3 questions (+ one for those applying to NYUAD). One is about the “global network” (basically), one is about “why did you select your intended major?” (though, that prompt also asks you to list EC’s relating to it, new from last year) and a “If you could bring one person, living/dead and real/fictional, to a ‘special place’ who would you bring and what would you show him?”

That last one is probably the most “fun” one to do!

Here is the link to the one on the NYU main website: http://www.nyu.edu/content/dam/nyu/ugAdmissions/documents/common-app-supplement.pdf

Since I didn’t sign up for the Common App yet, I was wondering if someone can tell me what is the word or character limit for the short answers from NYU? (It doesn’t mention it on the one on their website)
