<p>Anyone else think that is lame? Last year's choice of Maya Angelou is a lot better.</p>

<p>It is lame…although I think Notre Dame got Obama just because Obama wanted some media attention as far as stem cell/abortion went. </p>

<p>Obama = God, Catholics = Lucifer…</p>

<p>This year’s speaker is incredibly lame. And Notre Dame has a long history of inviting newly elected Presidents. And it appears that only a minority of Catholics were offended by such a gesture.</p>

<p>no worse than martin luther king the third (kicked off the board of his father’s foundation) or soledad o’brien (the same time she was announced, she lost her job as anchor at CNN). Cornell has been pretty lame the past oh, 4 years on graduation speakers.</p>

<p>Well we had Wesley Clark in 05 and Bill Clinton in 04.</p>

<p>Maya Angelou was amazing. I love her work and I was so happy to have her as the convocation speaker for my graduating class.</p>

<p>I’m really rooting for JK Rowling next year. Please god, how could would that be lol</p>

<p>I’m sure Plouffe will do very well but there definitely could have been better speakers</p>
