<p>From what I’ve heard from several high school classmates who attended Reed and comparing it with my own experience at Oberlin, Oberlin can be academically challenging, but much more manageable and reasonably paced. </p>
<p>Staying up till 3 am studying hard just to pass…sounds like Reed and schools like it…as well as the urban public magnet high school I attended. </p>
<p>Frankly, if I attended Reed, I’d flunk out after one semester/year rather than graduating as a scholarship student with respectable grades.</p>
<p>Reed is reportedly more manageable for those who had to work hard in high school, and sometimes means more of an adjustment for those who breezed through HS.</p>
