its life, majors, and everything in general? :)</p>
<p>Occidental College is 5 miles from downtown. There are countless varieties of food ranging several different cultures. There are countless activities downtown, and there are even more if you are willing to drive around to visit the Getty museum, the beach, the Disney Hall, and several shopping districts. However, the neighborhood may be a bit dangerous at night, since Eagle Rock is not a city you would want to walk on the street alone in at night.</p>
<p>The people who go there are self-described "Californian/Seattleite Ugg-wearing hipsters" but are "very intellectually bright and interesting." Many are quite idealistic and "genuinely" want to "change the world." Although the students are very driven, "There is very little competition" and "very little cliquing." Most students on campus are "pretty laid-back and know how to have fun, but still work pretty hard."</p>
