what was the answer to the question with answer choices whet, disturb, and something else. I put disturbed because I had no idea what "whet" even means.

I got around 20-21 A's for my answers. So I would agree calcobra.

it was disturb

i just know whet from like 'whet your appetite' and the other 2 answers had similar meanings, but disturb was the odd one out

good, cause i was like "whet"? what?

capacity and ability... what yall say for that

refresh me some more on the question..

I put just capacity...

for capacity and ability i think the choices were like a) no change b) blah blah able to blah... c) (something along the lines with letter b) d) ability

i dont rmember if it was ability or capacity for d

Whatever one was more concise.

There were three choices which were redundant, and then D) capacity (or ability). It was D.

i put the one that was one word, i think it was capacity

yeah i think i put that too... for some reason i paused and wondered if it was actually redundant...

It was capacity.

The answer for the purpose questions were all Yes I think.

Here in Ohio I think there were A LOT of different forms as I had none of OhioGuys and none discussed in this thread...hmmm this is something new.

yesss slugger :D

"byt hat time he was already smiling" where did that go? i put keep it where it was (at the end of the passage....either it was where it is now or after sentence 4)

There's one question that is bothering me (though I know that I got it wrong).

It was the Nancy Drew passage. The two answer choices I narrowed it down to was "It had gone out of style" and "It had went out of style". Had gone sounds better orally, so I thought it was a trick question. But then I realized (after the test), that "went" would work if it were by itself.

So it's either "It had gone out of style" or It "went out of style", right?

Nancy Drew passage:

What did the girls get/want out of reading the story?

anyone remember? this one i got down to 2 answers but i remember that i couldn't decide.

I narrowed it down to two answers too, but I don't remember which one I ultimately went with. Do you remember any of the answer choices?

1) No Change
2) Dealt with role models?
3) I believe said something about "Those stories in which she" something
4) The mysteries to life or something

those aren't necessarily in order of A, B, C, and D.

It was in the context of the preceding statement in the sentence. i don't remember what it was though. ;[

Hmm, I'm having a hard time remembering the passage. But I don't think it was role models, and I don't think it was mysteries to life. I think it was choice C, but I can't remember what the exact wording of the answer was.
