Oct-27 Reading

I put scorned.

"I put scorned."

You got it wrong.

I put anxiously anticipating, committed, and appreciation.

If I remember correctly, before the quote, when the musician was described, it said that HE had taken from both forms of music. Basically, this would mean that he would be scorning HIMSELF.

I put committed and indifference,bah
the last question i think, was the answer "she couldn't contain her excitement"?

she was "consumed"

yeah thats it!
what was the question to the she was anticipating college but couldnt afford it? i compleetely forgot it

Something interesting of note...

I took the ACT today without writing and one "new" thing to a veteran 4 time test taker was that there were numerous "forms" of the exam. You could tell this by the colors located on the front of the test booklet. Colors I noticed were dark green, light green (mine), purple, orange, red, yellow, etc.

In addition, there has yet to be a post which discusses ANY of the reading passages I had (and I did take the test today in Ohio). I had one about paper, one about rain/the rain cycle, one about space/a new planet and discovery of it's animals and one on poetry and how it connects us all together...interesting.

committed, admired, and yes it was consumed

was that "A" word about the squid, the squid only or what?

i put as the large squid only

large squid only

Wasn't it giant squid?

Things I remember from the first passage
1) Did they only sell wheat? I put that
2) the wind was the one that didnt belong in one of the answers, although i dont remember the exact question. something about damaging crops, and things that did it were like grasshopper, hail, and drought.

I put that they only sell wheat - I didn't see any indication that they sold other things.

I also put the wind, because it wasn't explicitly mentioned. In the first paragraph, the author mentioned grasshopper, hail, and drought.

hmmm i wonder too Tmac...

edit: doH!!!

i dont remember grasshopper... what did it say about grasshoppers?

The question asked something along the lines of what things damaged crops. In the first paragraph, in sequential order, it said something about having grasshoppers, hail, and drought affecting the wheat crops.

I'm positive about this one - wind was the only one NOT mentioned.

@walt99

YOU ARE CORRECT SIR!

looks like i got -2 for sure then... oh well. thanks man

Im getting the idea that the questions were different because
1. On my test, i know that the cucumber question said what does "whatever the text said" mean.
2. Mine had "held" as an answer which was the only one that made sense.
