Oct-27 Reading

i dont think it was stunned. I think it was D. They seemed more suprised and genuinly interested than completely dumbfounded (which i think stunned, or answer A implies)

I may have left it A though (stunned). I dont remember though.

"It was something like that babe, or "she was consumed by it" - something along those lines. I'm pretty sure that was the right answer."

Yep

Hmm, interesting Big, I don't remember all the answer choices for the stunned one..

how do i join. just go AIM a week ago.
How do i do it?

ill invite you....what's your screen name?

I just remember that D had some type of intrigue to it, but not utter shock. Being shocked seemed too childish, like if they were to be and class and go "Oh my God! thats crazy!", rather than "Hmmm, that's very interesting/suprising...tell me more..."

there was a qustion on the farmer passage which said that "which is another word for real" and was the answer 'powerful'?

yes, how does the narrator describe the wind

The narrator said it was "real wind" and then said something that indicated the answer would be powerful. I think it said the wind would blow dust in her face or something like that.

yeahhh she said something like: "it wasn't just wind. it was real wind," meaning powerful

yeah and. what was the purpose of the colosseum passage (it was the first question under that passage)?

It was to have a statement about the Colosseum and then refute it. It said how it was thought that hundreds people could walk through the Colosseum with no problem but then said that was not the case.

cool! it was choice D, correct?

also the Roman Senate and the other building, were they two buildings that researchers were using the computer thing to look at?

and another colosseum question, the architects made false assumptions about the building's circulation or something like that?

I don't remember what choice it was.

The answer for that one was either that they had similar flaws with poor acoustics, ventilation, etc. or that their design plans were changed/modified after they were built. When I looked at the paragraph about the two buildings, they mentioned these two things.

What context was the question in for that one?

I think the answer was something with scholars.

Silent, i think one of them had poor acoustics, etc. and the other one was modified after it was built. since the question referred to something with both buildings, i didn't pick that choice.

the assumption question was something like "why was the circulation thing disregarded" or something like that. pretty much the question was that why was it being questioned now. something like that

Hmm, I had to keep looking over that paragraph. I had a bit of difficulty with that one.

Yeah, I put they made false assumptions, too.

I disliked reading a lot.

lol so was silentscholaris right or i was right?
i hope the reading curve goes -2 = 35
english is def going to be -1=35, -2=34 since everyone thought it was easy.
but some people found reading easy and others found it normal so i hpe the curve is a tad bit lenient

im almost 100% sure taht for the question about what the girl's feelings were about college...it was that she now had the option to go...because in the beggining...it said that she knew taht if the wheat didnt sell..she would not be able to go...

turks, is that the question with one of the choices being like "it consumed her?" or "she was really excited" or sth like that?
