checkmate the answer to that was admonition.

aw man, i missed that one. so is -5 still in the 700 range?

I missed 7 last time and got a 700, so I think you are safe.

Prohibition is what I said for the tourists one.

dude wt f is the curve on this thing?! anyone have a guess? has anyone ever seen a real one where it’s -3 (scaled, not raw) is still an 800?

for the “entranced…lexicon” i erased the “incensed…diction” option and put down the “entranced…lexicon” as a correction. is it likely that the machine will pick up my eraser mark?

checkmate7, the answer to the campers question was “admonition”. Yeah, I didn’t get that one right either. :/

And about the eraser mark thing, I can’t say for sure but I think you’ll be fine. The machines are probably programmed to differentiate between eraser marks and filled-in circles.

thanks a lot! that helps.

this was my first SAT I test, was this more difficult or easier compared to others that you guys have taken?

About What score will you get if you miss 4 Qs?

780, and it was easier.

Are there different amounts of points taken off depending on the difficulty of the question? For example, if I get a difficult question incorrect, would less points be deducted opposed to getting an easy question incorrect?

I really have a lot of questions :P

Nope, 1 wrong takes off the same number of points, no matter the difficulty of the question.

Ah, ok. Got it. And one last thing:

What are “experimental” sections? Is there typically one experimental section per test? And if so then is it possible that there could be an experimental writing section? It would be annoying if everyone got math and CR experimental sections and I got stuck with a writing one :P

Tyrannical or egalitarian?

I put egalitarian because it mentioned a “true” democracy, and I didn’t think tyrannical would apply to a govt, just a person… Then again, I still don’t know what egalitarian means. L

I remember eliminating egalitarian. I don’t remember the other options though so I can’t really give a clear answer.

I don’t remember the question but I remember the answer was definitely tyrannical.

people, before you ask any questions just go back and read the tread. almost all the new questions asked are in the previous pages of the thread.

its not egalitarian. it means favoring social equality, which is a good thing, but the sentence required a negative word…answer-tyrannical

@ checkmate, experimental sections are sections that the SAT gives to try out new questions, they do not count. If you had 4 sections of a certain subject one of those 4 sections was experimental, problem is you dont know which.

It was egalitarian, egalitarian means- something where every one is equal, therefore a true democracy is egalitarian.

Thanks guys.

So far -4 just on vocab. Pretty rough. :/

I think I did well on pretty much all of the passage-based questions. What do you guys reckon the curve will be like?
