the consolidated list some pages back has the accepted answers
-“Out of Homer Thesuedlk constructed a brilliant resume…” “At any rate, Thesuesjd thought the story of Troy was true…: …The best evidence for this can be found in Homer”
-the author said that the default scenario would occur if we didn’t take action to prevent it. that doesn’t equate to inevitable…in fact it is very avoidable. but he definitely believes such an outcome is undesirable
-the author is clearly offended by such movies…she wouldn’t consider herself “virtually no one”

I disagree with every single one of hello sunshine’s answers.
the answers are emphatic, undesirable, probably did happen, and discerning move goers
we have reached a sure fire consensus on these whether it only be like 65%

ur test is gonna be a whole bunch of fail jk im just agreeing with the consolidated list since it has all of my answers for the passages on it and therefore includes the answers of those that shared my reasoning which i think is the majority of people. we will see on the 28th whose right.

You realize that the whole point of the passage was to point out that there is no concrete evidence (including archeological evidence) to disprove or prove Troy’s existence. Thucydide’s thesis was used as an example of how scholars took Troy’s existence as absolute based on Homer’s epic and Greek oral stories. His thesis was a theoretical jab at what type of kingdoms/armies/navies had to be around to support the event of the Trojan War detailed in Homer’s story. The fact that you picked the answer archeological evidence shows that you did not understand at all what you had read.

^
I did understand it. I just question myself often. I thought of putting Homer, then decided to answer archaeological, probably because of a certain sentence that gave me a certain impression.

I don’t agree with hellosunshine’s explanation of her answer of balanced, but the answer is balanced because it talks about p2 not p1
Emphatic-3 balanced-3

have any of u ever considered the fact that collegeboard had more than 1 version, b/c if it were only p1 or p2 then there wouldn’t be this many people arguing. i know i read “compared with p2 p1 had …”, and i am sure u guys saw what u saw.

for the movie critic passage,
what were the other choices for the question that asked “the purpose of the personal anecdote in lines__ was to” and what was the right answer i thought the answer was to introduce her opinion about writing or something

can anyone verify this?

for the rewilding passage,
-Passage 1 would think the last part of Passage 2 (the suggestions about what to
do with the money) was inadequate. author of passage 1 disagrees with the solutions offered by passage 2’s author. passage 1 believes in rewilding, whereas passsage 2 believes its efforts should be spent elsewhere
what were the other choices for this question?

-Last part of passage 2 - suggesting alternatives. other choices?

-both authors took positions on a possible plan of action author 1 focused on rewilding, author 2 was the opposite and also proposed alternative solutions
other choices?

face … persuade
thanks for confirming … i thought it was ‘face’ too
and i didn’t discover a new question it was already on the list …
i wasn’t sure if the answer was challenge.
but thank you!

i dont think balanced is the answer. the second passage is definitely more balanced than the first passage because it did present two contrasting view points whereas the first one is more emphatic because the author is mainly supporting his own points of interest.
