what was the question that had the answer choice " she had detractors (kael passage)

I believe so user2134

I don’t think the Troy question about what thucydides based his work on should definitively be on the consolidated list, there seems to be debate about it, I personally didn’t think it was based on Homer, I think at the very least it should be a slash.

Can someone explain true=genuine for me? Please?

I think it had something to do with lines__ suggest that she had detractors. I’m not 100% sure though. I remember that detractors was one of the answer choices, though

I agree with youcan’ttouchthis on the anecdote.

Oscar said that he doesn’t play accurately. He plays with expression. Playing accurately refers to skills, just like writing with grammar (or in this case lack of). The expression that Oscar plays with parallels with the biography that’s written with substance.

I also got archaeological (not Homer) for that Troy question.

You tried to correct me. Except I said exactly what you said.

Thanks for the consolidated list Harambee.

The only thing I’m questioning is the antidote-stimulant log road question. I thought it was antidote at first, but it seems like stimulant more accurately describes his short-lived happiness and relief of his anger. It seemed as though the road was more like a drug, such as heroine or prozac, than to an antidote, like the polio vaccine or antivenom.

I also got archaeological also

I do not remember seeing the word “detractors” at all. Can someone please remind me?

for the evidence thuciclides I think it was greek history
He talks about some king of mycanae and the old seafaring in the Aegean Sea
THe sentence before talks about Homer but it says they are uncertain how much his work detracted from archaelogical works /Homer… thucicylides thus has some connections to Homer, but they arent sure about how much (it was said in the parenthetical phrase)

What did everyone get for the “style vs. substance” question?

@ayo1234 With the stuff earlier in the sentence, it said the opposite of true was fake. Genuine makes the most sense.

You’re welcome. :)

Lovelybones, I think the answer was actually the relationship b/t style and substance.

Can anyone confirm?

^ Really? Yay!

Yeah big thanks to Harambee for the list. I remember when you made the one for the Us history subject test

You have quite a knack for making great lists.

I didn’t get any response on my previous question and I am getting a bit anxious!
Okay so,

Rewilding
-ethical issue because humans probably had a part in it

Isn’t it ‘b.c humans lives are closely related to those of animals or sth like that, basically b.c it’s good for future generations whatever?’

I changed my anwer to this one b.c in the text i believe it clearly said that all that what was the name p*** extinction took place a looooong time ago when humans didn’t exist?
And there were two more following sentences that supported, i believe, this one tho i don’t quite remember now.

Feedback please.

I remember that. At least on the subject tests the questions are more straight forward.

Linger, are you sure it’s “style v. substance”? Harambee’s list says “the personal anecdote reflects the nature of writing”… or was that for another question?

Thanks from me as well, Harambee, for making such a comprehensive list. :)
