■■■. i hate timing tests…

lol@ logical fallacy, this is a math problem, not an argument

the only reason why we are STILL arguing about the dice is because people like you are bringing it up again.

Ya, I definitely put 1/108

^ myg. but think about what you’re doing when you’re making it over 216.
you’re basically counting 566 656 666 665 and all the other combinations.
if youre to say that you get 2 sixes and 1 five. then your answer should be out of 16, because, if you are to think about it, 233 then would be same as 332. cus what youre saying is that they’re equal as long as they give you the same sum.
so your answer shouldve been 2/16 (knowing that 1 and 2 cant be the sum) .
but the question is asking for probability to get 17 or 18. and you can do get it in 4 different ways out of 216 possible ways.
so the answer is 1/54

Anyone remember which problems were #18 and #20 in the twenty minute section?

STRONGLY agree with pookieflash

^ the 20 min section only has 16 questions

NOOOOOOOOOOOOO I cant believe I put 2 instead of 3 for a/b. I forgot about 6/9. Whhy am i so dumb.

What is -2 and 1 omit? there goes my 2300

What was the answer to the absolute value inequality one?

the answer cant be 1 because x cant be one.
and if you are to make one of improper, then you have to make the other less than 1, which cant be true

was one of the answers

x^2 > 5/3 * y*^2?

for the xyz problem with x+y=7, what letter choice was 7?

yes that’s right mabsjen

Gah I think I read the A/B one too quickly and thought it meant A /plus/ B had to be less than 10, not A had to be less than 10 and B had to be less than 10. /FACEPALM T_T

@strawbearries: that’s EXACTLY what I did! :(

VirologyNerd seriously? Maybe we got it right. I doubt it though lol.

What was the answer to the absolute value (xy) one?

Can someone PLEASE make a consolidated list? I really don’t want to spend 2 hours reading every post like I just did with CR.

This test is hard, you will all have nice scores. Period.

I feel so ashamed of myself. I usually get 800s on the math section. I realized I did 3 stupid mistakes.
I originally got the 5/3 answer, but when I went back to check my work, I didn’t see the part that asked for 3x. I changed my answer to 5/9 instead.

The next one was about an obtuse triangle. Two of the sides were 6 and 8. The last one you had to find given that angle x is obtuse. The answer should have been less than 14. My mind pondered off and put 15.

Finally the last one was the 1/54. I put 1/108. I even thought about the three possibilities of getting 17.

I’m really ashamed of myself. Now I’m probably going to get a high 600 in math or a very low 700. :'-(
