October 2011 SAT General Discussion

for the new york public library one, I got correct as it is. It was one weird sentence though…

I had exacerbate and ameliorate as answers, I think.

and the line perpendicular to x=2 was y=3.

was the answer exacerbate or assail?

also what was the answer to that vocab question with the Roman Egyptian person championing ___ and i dont remember the other blank? And why?

Anyone else got 4 No Errors? I’m very nervous about that, was hoping for 800.

xpjustsmile: There was a error with the dolls and some plural problem. Someone else said there was the same kind of problem with the snowflake one, but I’m not 100% sure.

@brolex, I got y= to something (either 3 or 5).

i didnt get one about an indian grandmother and i had 4 CR sections…was it the one about courtship and dating in the 1900s?

@SheepGetKilled I got exacerbate. Not sure though.

@@xpjustsmile its neither of the dolls WAS not were

another one about rationalism being noble and her still accepting emotions or something for a SC?

Rationalization as a noble “faculty” but still valued “emotion” or something for Roman Egyptian mathematician.

Can someone explain the sweaters and scarves one?

for the roomate passage, was it that the roomate guy thought idea was independent of human’s consciousness, or that it was grasped instinctively? or was it something else? no idea what that was

Exacerbate was the answer.

NOOO THE indian grandmother must NOT BE EXPERIMENTAL!!!

it was one of the easier passages!!!

Yeah, I also got 4 no errors, which I didn’t understand. There was also a section where a LOT of them were C, and never A, I’m really really scared of that section…

I put Independent.

sheep: it was definately exacerbate. assail makes no sense

Independent of human consciousness, 100% sure. He talked about how they exist whether you want them to or not.
