October 2011 SAT Math International

Freedom, I think we have the wrong question :stuck_out_tongue: don’t worry! I don’t remember that question I guess.

I was talking about the question where we had a curve with (0,7) on the y-axis, and were given multiple points on the curve. For me it was the last question of a section (can’t remember which).

^^^ YES this is exactly the question i’m talking about . Are you sure it’s zero ??

a(a+x) = 9 , In this question, what was asked to find? a or x?

^^ they asked for x

The one with rectangle and one big triangle was rlly easy I can’t believe u guys got that wrong.

X=8 and a=1

@kdines: they asked you to find x. Which was 8.
@genericmath: what was the answer then? I got 36…? I’m pretty sure it is incorrect then.

well you just get all area and minus the area of the rectangle I don’t remember that answer though.

i was sucked…i wrote 1 coz i misread the question and found the value for a

You guys killed every hope I have of getting an 800 :\
I hope the curve is extremly generous :</p>

Hopefully the question with the cube was in experimental section.
i think im gonna try the ACT next time.

and about those cubes…i got it 66 …but not sure

cube wasn’t the experimental section coz two of my friends had extra CR section and still they, too, encountered the same problem of cubes

No soldier its not since who got the cube as questions got that stupid passage about butterflies.

Because in my test center some people got either a math experimental or a reading experimental.

I got 70 for the cube , don’t tell me that’s wrong too .

Yeh I got it as 70 too your right, but that problem in grid in that says f(k) > k

I made that as 3,because all possible answers are 1,2,3,4,5,6 then you could plugin values I got 3 as the value. I hope I am right.

I hated the butterfly passage , It was the most stupid thing I ever read. But still managed to answer most of them correctly .

Oh well. i hope i just beat the national average now :S

I left 13,14 though in the last section that stupid number 16 took some time to try out variable and I was like what to do either do it algebrically or do it with plugin values and plugin values took like 3 min !!! because I made wrong values first that took my time out of problem 13,14 !!!

Could have gotten 800.

The f(x) > k thing , I got it as 6 . Not sure though .
