Currently, my October section doesn’t say registered, tested, or view scores.
The only options are “Make changes to you registration” and “When will scores be ready?”
I’ve never seem this before. I’ve always had a third option that said registered. Is this normal?
No score for my son either! Weird that people are already getting their writing scores before us! I also wrote/complained to ACT last week (Thursday). Still no response! That’s crazy that the computerized scores aren’t out yet before the written portion!
My son has also not received his scores, and his registered status has also disappeared. Customer service could not be more unhelpful. They can tell you nothing about why the test has been delayed. They basically give patronizing answers referring you to their website that they have upto 8 weeks. When, I pointed out that there are deadlines for many students, they just said to use previous scores. I also pointed out that producing a score in 2 1/2 weeks is a far different service than 8 weeks, they have no answer for that. They have even posted message on their FB page saying not to worry if you have not gotten your scores they will be their within 8 weeks. How clueless can they be?
Smh I don’t have any of my standardized test scores yet. SAT delayed, and ACT didn’t come out last Monday and still don’t have it. Collegeboard and ACT are two pains.
@MeowyCat421, I only see registered and when will scores be ready ?
But the weird thing is, I see the same for Dec registration as well
How on Earth did I only get a 24 in Writing!? 31 English…
So frustrating to think that after all of our work towards college, we might end up getting screwed by late scores that are completely not our fault…
Don’t feel bad at least you didn’t get a 16 on the writing @ffina23
MeowyCat421 Don’t worry because I have the same issue. But I don’t know why.
35 English to 23 Writing… Oh. My. God. I kinda expected it because I had nothing interesting to say about the prompt, but still… Wow.
I am not that familiar with how colleges view the ACT Writing, so I am wondering how much weight do they put on it??
Many colleges seem to have no minimum score for writing but just want to see that you took the writing part of the test. I don’t get the feeling that it weighs very heavily.
Ok - so Writing was fine - 35 - and I’m happy with it. But I can’t find the link to the Score Report. Rather, it isn’t even there!! Do they put them out on the website after they announce the writing scores? (I’ve got all mine back now).
@Lunamione13 they usually do. I didn’t get mine yet either.
For the september test, I received an email and the score report was ready one day after I’ve received my writing score.
Wait, what? A 34 English, 27 Reading, 8 Writing, and a combined 23 English/Writing!!?!?!?!? How is this possible??
It is actually E/R/W combined. That Writing seem very low given your other scores.
35 Math (got 1 question wrong, and I had to guess on that one because I ran out of time)
33 English
30 Reading
29 Science
Writing not yet available
I need to brush up on my reading and science. They’re not difficult, but I always end up running out of time, forcing me to guess on whatever I’ve left blank. Do any of you guys have any tips/advice on finishing those two sections on time/being efficient with time? Because no matter what I always end up being short of about 5 questions for the two.
Thanks in advance.
By the way, if anyone was wondering, one of the keys in getting at least a 30 in the Math ACT is having a good calculator, especially a graphing calculator. Trust me, I don’t know why or how but it helps immensely (at least in my case; it might be because I’m more comfortable with those types of calculators rather than scientific ones, as I’ve been working with graphing calculators for quite some time). I highly recommend the TI CX N-spire.
@Lynkos
Do you annotate while reading? A lot of places online say to do so, so I did and made a 26 on reading. I took a real practice reading test last night without doing any annotating and made a 29… Instead of trying to find sentences/phrases/words that seemed important to circle/underline, I spent about 5 minutes solely reading and comprehending for each passage. That left about 4.5 minutes to answer most of the questions (which you should have no trouble since you thoroughly read through) and to look back for 2-3 questions you are unsure about (you should know exactly where to look for these).
I used to always run out of time on reading because I annotated what looked important then would have to look back for almost every question. This time I finished with over 3 extra minutes and 3 points higher. I totally suck at the social studies passages, so that 29 would probably be even higher if it weren’t for those.
@jwn9917 you should only annotate if it helps you memorize the organization of things. As long as you know where everything is, then you should do fine because the test is all about trying to refer back to the passage and try to get the answer as quickly as possible. Why this works is because for the majority of the question, the ACT uses the same phrasing in their questions/answers; you just need to know where to look.
@Lynkos What were your subscores for math??? Mine were 18/16/18 so I assumed that I missed 2…But I received I received a 36 in math so I’m guessing you missed at least 3.
For those of you still waiting on scores, did any of yours’ status change to tested… Mine still says registered, any chance that I might get scores tomorrow?!!
