Of all the things I learned at Princeton, these are the most important.

This is beautiful!

Excellent post!

Incredible post

This post makes me so happy.

One more thought - where you go to college past the Top 10 or even Top 15 doesn’t really matter. You will have roughly the same amount of opportunities and what not. So when deciding between two great colleges, don’t ask yourself which one is more prestigious. Ask yourself, which one will you would be happier at.

Thats why I think all these Harvard vs Yale, Princeton vs Duke, Columbia vs Brown, etc… are pretty pointless.

Yes, this is true Mathking, but in general, each of those schools has distinctive “cultures” that should be realized by prospective students.

But I don’t want to take away from the focus of this thread –
This is truly a beautifully inspiring post, and it certainly hits home for me as I await my college decisions. Thank you.

Thank you PtonGra2000 for posting this and thank you decillion for bumping it =)

Yea, thanks…for making me cry harder for what I’ll be missing once I get rejected! :P

Kidding!

If i hadn’t committed to princeton already, i definitely would’ve after reading this!

Beautiful!!! Very very happy my son has been admitted!!! Yeiiiiiiiiiii

One DS was admitted last year, so many of PtonGrad2000 posts were more than helpful to me. So glad DD has been accepted so that I can share this one with her. Beautiful, as always. How did I miss this one last year???

Why ISN"T THIS STICKED???

I have two Daughters at Princeton, one a Senior, one a Sophomore. They were not legacies, and to this day, I still believe it is a dream that they were both admitted. Princeton is an emotional, magical place. My oldest Daughter was a little more reserved than my youngest, she has absolutely blossomed and thrived at Princeton. The youngest is having the time of her life, so many opportunities! This post brought tears to my eyes as I know how excited my oldest is to graduate, she has already turned in her thesis, all downhil from here, but truly sad at having to leave the “best old place of all”. There is a reason Princeton has the highest alumni giving rate and that thing called Reunions!!! From pre-rade to P-rade, Princeton will always be your home!
