I'm planning to transfer, i wonder if anyone is currently living off campus, would you please give me some advise or estimation about the rental, living cost around UCI? Thankss

Asking my friends, the price seems to range from $500 to $800 per month for each individual. Normally the apartment rooms, usually 3 or 4 bedrooms, range from $2000 to $3000 per month, split among the individuals living there.

That’s not bad. I thought it could be roughly around $1000; u know, it’s Irvine with all the rich people from Asia. I mean if it’s just 500-800, I would really consider about that.

^ uh no

I’m not a student there, but my hometown is there, and I’ve personally known many people who were not rich, myself included. Certain parts of Irvine (like the Turtle Rock neighborhood area) are where rich people live, but not all of Irvine residents are rich.

Don’t forget about also paying for utilities and groceries. Additionally, Irvine is a car town, as is most off Southern California. You need a car and gas.

I lived on campus my first 3 months, 920 a month, at camino del sol! Single room, shared bathroom. Not worth it!
Found a room this week to rent for 700, single bed, single bath, close to uci, off campus! Totally worth it!
