What did you guys do for Valentines day today?

Told a girl I loved her.

^Was that the first time? What did she say?

Yeah… anaychi, did you give that girl flowers and chocolate? Second helloel, 609, tellll us.

Today was a usual day. Nothing out of the ordinary, considering it IS Valentine’s Day.

Nope, I did not. Life is a walloping journey, where certain things you desire just don’t materialize. I came to that epiphany ages ago, so it’s not as if I’m moping around at the moment (I can’t really back that claim up over the internet, but you can take my word for it).

Anything special for you, 98?

Nope, boring. So of course I’m on cc… :)

Also, anay… I’m taking your word for it. Agree 100%.

I didn’t do anything special. But I did pull ahead three points in the school-wide math competition. Academia, be my Valentine??

609, you did what?

I also found out that I’m the only one in my math class maintaining a 99, so I’m on the same boat as you Studious! Academia is a treacherous yet inviting lady, and the only lady I’m currently involved with. :D

OOOO academia…exciting, lol. How do you have a ninety nine in math class? What sorcery is this?!

609, you’re an interesting guy… pray tell what happened? please?

Today is only Tuesday people. Stop wassting money on balloon, that simply won’t last…

@609: ok…?.?

Lol, if I had a 99 in math…

I don’t understand the hostility towards Valentine’s day. People that aren’t dating anyone get really bitter and complain about “single awareness day”. And I just don’t see what’s to mope about, I think it’s cute watching couples exchange gifts and stuff. Anyway, Valentine’s day hype is beginning to lessen, so it’s not like it’s really getting rubbed in your face. And then there are the complaints about it being a completely materialistic holiday, but what holidays aren’t anymore?

balloon? what…

^^Fantastic points. People who overemphasize their hate for Valentine’s Day are dismal individuals. A celebration of love is just that, materialistic or not. It’s also an economically helpful holiday, if you want to look at it from that perspective.

If it makes you guys feel better, I ended math last semester with an 89.99. The subject matter at the moment just comes easily to me.

What math are you in?

Geometry. Before you think I’m not on the Honors math track, hold your horses! My district mandates that all Honors students should take Algebra II before Geometry, so I actually took Algebra II last year. So, I’m technically not behind the rest of CC. Just stuck with an incompetent school district.

Haha, don’t worry I wasn’t judging. A lot of schools where I live do the same thing. Yeah, Geometry wasn’t bad, but I’m having to work so hard in Algebra II this year! I’m just not naturally a math person.

Imagine trying to do Algebra II without any prior Geometry/Trig experience whatsoever! It was a pain in the ass. My class’ 2nd semester final exemplifies why doing that is horrible for the students: only 3 out 30 kids (including me) got an A on the final, with the majority of kids getting lower than a C.

Good luck in Algebra II, though. It’s a naturally hard course, so you’re not the only one.
