offer from DUKE,ECE

What about the phd program in ECE Department in Duke U?
I find a little discussion here about graduate school in Duke...
Help and Thanks.

Where/what is Duke?

@ jmilton:
Are you serious? You’ve never heard or Duke?

Actually, I just visited the duke.edu. Sorry, I’m from the West Coast.

Regardless of coast, it is one of the top schools in the nation, depending on what program you are looking at. Also their basketball program is pretty well known nationally.

Maybe I am showing my ignorance just as much, but…what is ECE? Electrical and Computer Engineering? I do not know much about Duke in that field if that is to what you were referring.

Linda, I’m currently an undergrad (senior) at Duke, so if you have any specific questions about student life please ask away! The engineering school is strong (especially biomed egr) but not as large as at some other schools. In terms of reputation, I would put Duke engineering on par with those schools that have great overall institutional reputation but less well known/established engineering programs (e.g. harvard, princeton, yale, brown, etc.) What other schools are you considering? Schools that are highly engineering focused e.g. MIT, Caltech, etc. might offer better graduate training in ECE.
