<p>Is it unusual to be offered a guaranteed master's you didn't apply for? I was just offered one in the School of Public and International Affairs, even though it's not really related to my major. I'm very happy, but find it a little odd. Did this happen to anybody else?</p>
<p>My daughter received that offer also, but she applied as a Japanese major, so it seemed to fit.</p>
<p>I was offered guaranteed grad to there too. I'm pretty sure I didn't put down a major at all and if i put down any interests it was chemistry and literature. It was a little bit odd, but looking at the other grad schools I think that public and international affairs would probably be the most likely one that I would go to.</p>
