Office of Civil Rights complaint

<p>Just wondering if anyone here ever filed a complaint against their university with the Office of Civil Rights (OCR) for violating the ADA. If so, what was the outcome?</p>

<p>Recently, I filed a complaint against Case Western Reserve University for not allowing me to resume my studies because I was (mis)diagnosed with schizophrenia. (My correct diagnosis is OCD, by the way.) For more information, please visit:

<p>I’m curious as to how OCD was misdiagnosed as schizophrenia. They have really different symptoms, don’t they?</p>

Even though this is a very old thread, I’d like to know how two very disorders were confused…it doesn’t seem possible to me. I’ve never heard of someone with OCD being admitted to a mental hospital!

I see that you don’t post anymore, I hope your okay! I hope you did decide to take medication. I doubt Northwestern would randomly decide this. It’s probably because you were admitted, or something else has happened. Schizophrenia is a very dangerous disorder if left untreated…
