@LoseYourself: What’s so wrong with people telling their grades to others? If I did great on something I worked hard on to achieve, I’d want people to know. Getting recognition/praise from your fellow students is one of the greatest rewards you could receive. There’s nothing wrong with people telling their grades to others. If you have a problem with that, this thread might not be the best one for you to be on, since that’s what everyone’s doing here.

You know I have to agree with LoseYourself, I feel just the most amazing hate when I see people posting their scores on facebook. Probably irrational, but it really just bugs me.

People posting on Facebook are purely bragging. It’s a social networking site. This is CC where scholarly people discuss stuff… So it’s expected to do exactly what everyone here is doing.
Ap calc ab and bc- 5
Ap bio - 4
Ap English and comp - 4
:D

^^ Lol please… CC is for the most part teenagers bragging.

Edit: Btw, it’s not the posting of scores but the comments that follow that can be ridiculous.

I still want this explained.

^Maybe he meant to say “Comp Gov” instead of “Comp Sci.”

I personally have a distate for people who get 4s on AP exams and then freak out. Simply put, those of you that do this are causing yourself undue stress. A 4 is a very good score, and the difference between a 4 and a 5 will NOT be a reason to not be accepted by a certain college. I understand how you can have high expectations and be disapointed, but NEVER allow a standardized test define you, your emotional state, nor your self-worth. There are definitrely more important things in life than obsessing over a 4 on an AP exam.

Did you make an account just to respond? I’m honored, really. :D

If someone did badly on a test and went around telling everyone, he/she most likely just wants pity from everyone else. The better thing to do would be to hit the books harder and make sure to get a better grade next time.

If someone did well on a test and went around telling everyone, he/she most likely wants to brag about his/her score. The better thing to do would be to smile, reward yourself, and continue the good work.

You are doing it for the wrong reasons then.

@loseyourself: Haha, then feel honored, because yes, I did make this account to reply to you. I do hope you realize what thread you’re in- you’re in a thread where everyone is posting their AP results. If you think some on here are bragging, then don’t visit this thread. It’s quite simple.

And I’m doing it for all the right reasons. I take my AP exams to get college credit and save my parents money. When I do good, I feel proud and I like to be acknowledged for my hard work.

I personally am not a fan of those who post their results on Facebook, but people are posting their excellent results HERE, in a thread where you’re supposed to post your results. I don’t mind your opinion. I respect it as far as opinions go, but if it bothers you, I just think it’s silly that you’re on this thread.

I posted my results on Facebook. I will admit to shamelessly bragging; I did it for no other reason (well, it’s easy to just say “look at my Facebook status” when people ask me what my scores were).

I don’t make bragging statuses besides AP scores and when I got into my ED college. Didn’t post crap for the SAT or SATII or any of that stuff. Not that what I post on Facebook matters to anyone, but I felt a need to justify myself.

My AP status this year got 43 likes though :P

^What college are you going to?

Penn. On an irrelevant side tangent, I have no intentions of changing my College Confidential location to my college name. I don’t really care about putting it on display, but that’s just me. shrugs

My physics teacher put up everyone who passed scores on facebook. I didn’t pass and she decided to entitle them “list of good boys and girls”. She was a very bad teacher and this really ****es me off. I studied my ass off and the subject is a hit or miss. I really think it depends on the person. Physics IS NOT for everyone. Chem and Bio, if you read you’re fine but that doesn’t apply for physics. I’m not ticked i failed but moreso because of how the teacher labeled those who passed. I hate physics >.< and now im going into E and M next year :'(

^^She probably only did that because they didn’t make her look bad. Assuming she really was a bad teacher, the good scores make her look better than what she really is so she labeled them “good” and so on… Typical bad teacher blaming the students rather than herself…
:/

Has anyone received AP scores in Florida?

Has anyone received ap scores in Maryland?

So you do good to be acknowledged by others?

Did you take AP Physics B or AP Physics C - Mechanics? Mechanics this year was BRUTAL, but a lenient curve. I had less clue what was going on in AP Physic C - Electricity & Magnetism than I did in AP Physics C - Mechanics, but I felt like the AP exam was much easier.

AP Calculus AB: 1
AP English Literature: 3
AP Biology: 4

French: 5
Macroeconomics: 5
U.S. Government: 5
English Literature: 5
Physics B: 5
Calculus AB: 5

Suffice to say I almost cried with happiness when I got my score report :')
