go and buy the book… support the authors.

Can’t, already bought Crash Course and the test is too soon. I have released exams, no one wants those? Have all of them

Just use Crash Course then, CC isn’t bad. There’s also many online resources too, you know.

^The author of DH posts new information every hour and responds to questions. It’s a very helpful resource

And somebody else posted a link to a page with a huge study guide, that also has good quizzes for every chapter.

so no one?

I have read most of the chapters in AMSCO. However, I can’t reread it in time. Should I read Crash Course or Direct Hits?

^ Direct hits. Please. Lol.

How long does it take to read direct hits? I’m thinking about buying it tom. And trying to cram it in…

Would this thread be a good place to post essays we would like critique on? I got through reading AMSCO a few days ago and am practicing responding to different FRQ prompts to reenforce what I’ve studied. In any case, I’d also like to make sure I’m also writing effective essays with a good thesis and well-developed paragraphs and whatnot.

How do you guys know DH will work if it only came out this year?

Well, Larry Krieger (author of DH) is also the author who wrote Crash Course.

The book is very nice, precise and to the point. DH is awesome =D

DH seems to be the best AP history review book I’ve seen. (to me, at least)

How long did it take you to read DH?

Considering purchasing direct hits and doing 1 day shipping.
For those of you who have it: is it worth it? I have Crash course and PR.
and how many pages is it?

If you guys have all these prep books (PR, DH, CC) ^^^^^ what do you do in class? Get drunk off Jack Daniels?

I just started (thoroughly) going over it today (i flipped through it for some in-class tests), and it’s an easy read / very refreshing.

@Azyrk: it’s worth it. 346 pages total, including glossary.

^ I’m homeschooled starting next week haha. at least until the end of the school year.

@ statlanta - I’m not sure I understand the question, but I pay attention in class. It’s just hard to remember every single fact of 300 years of history…

@ MarinebioSax - Well then I may bite the bullet and spend some extra money. I guess I’ll see how I feel about it tomorrow.
But now—back to studying for APUSH.

What you know about 300 years of history? They don’t test every fact; have you looked at a past test? In my opinion, unless you have the memory of 3 year old, you are over - *****ing - preparing.

statlanta you are being an enormous ■■■■■ on every post you’ve made tonight. Some of us actually want help and tips. Go continue your idiotic behavior somewhere else. like in a dumpster.

Direct Hits makes it so you won’t have to remember every single fact of 300 years of history. The book focuses on topics you actually need to know that will generate questions. :)

^ Agreed.

“enormous ■■■■■”

“idiotic behavior”

“like in a dumpster”

^ nerd

If you want help, go stick your face in a book. This is the internet, brother.
