i did 2 and 4…that seems to be a minority somehow? LOL at someone getting wrecked by the frq as opposed to the Dbq

since no one did 4, i’m starting to second guess myself. If anyone did it, it was just like first wave traditional immigrants and 2nd wave exotic immigrants. and first wave didn’t have legislation and second did?

Once i finished the exam I felt confident that I’ll get a 5. But I am starting to question whether or not my essays were good enough and I provided enough information. I really hope I get a 5.

I also am ****ed off that I missed the deadline to sign up for tomorrow’s subject test.

Phoenix Wright:

I attended two excellent AP seminars by teachers w/ 25 years plus experience and got a treasure trove of documents and previous exams. I’d be happy to send you what I have. Shoot me an email mlyle@basd.net

This was my third year and I just now feel like I have a good system in place. I still need to condense some early material but I feel pretty good and my students were absolutely giddy after the test, and that makes me feel great.

I’m a little hesitant to speculate on specifics, but based on the previous three years, it just made sense that the DBQ would be 20th century.

Luckily, we also spent two days last week comparing the ideas of Washington and DuBois with that of King and X - talk about lucky!

Of course, in 2013 the entire test changes so we only have one more year of the current system.

Sorry to hear about the slacker teachers out there. I don’t know how they can look themselves in the mirror. Keep in mind, you can retake the test next year. I had a student who got a 3 last year and took it again this year hoping for a 4 or 5 to get credit at Penn State.

Mike

^^^ me too. After the test, i felt really good but now i’m not so sure about some of the MCs any my FRQs

@IvyCraze: That’s basically what I talked about in mine.

Well, I knew what I was talking about. I wrote a total of 11 pages for all three essays. 2 and 5. Only problem: didn’t have much else to say about Nixon b/c I didn’t know anything other than what they gave and I rushed the last FRQ.
MC was pretty easy. Expecting a 5, 4 at worst.

“LOL at someone getting wrecked by the frq as opposed to the Dbq”

Don’t be a jerkoff.

LOL i am so happy with those frqs and even the dbq (i was dreading for anything after 1950) … the MC was so easy too! ( i did question 3 and 5 for the frqs)

ahhhh yay. :D

mr lyle, how is the test changing for 2013?

MC was pretty challenging to me… Just as hard as our in-class unit tests, but way harder than the released exams and practice exams we took.

I think I did fine on the DBQ. I chose essays 2 and 5 and I had a lot to write about, but I’m unsure as to whether my evidence and supporting details were within the specific time frames.

Hi!

So, I thought the multiple choice was on the harder side :/.

For the DBQ and essays altogether, I only wrote about 6 pages out of the 16 (I think that’s the total) that they give.

I believe that I addressed lots of good points and tried to add in outside information, but is that enough writing to score well on the writing portion?

And I picked essays 3 and 4 :P.

I think the organization for my FRQs was poor. For the DBQ, I had a lot of information, but I forgot to talk about SALT of the War Powers Act. It was still about 3.5 pgs though and my FRQs were 2 pgs each. Good enough?

I used 9 or 10 pages, I forget.

I just calculated what I think I got for each part down to the worst case scenario… this is going to be a very very close call for a 5.

I mixed up Eugene V. Debs and W.E.B. DuBois, like I always do, so ■■■ for the second FRQ.
Which immigrant groups were most frequent between 1980 and 2000?

i just used 6 pages total but then again i also write pretty small. (LENGTH DOES NOT MATTER!!! If you provide enough outside info and docs, you’ll do perfectly fine)

i used 7/9 documents in my two pages for dbq and used about 4-5 outside info per paragraph. i’m pretty sure that’s good for a 7-8…

thanks seekinguni, wow thats terrible! more emphasis on pre 1607.

i think i wrote 7-8 pages iirc

Latin America & Asia were most frequent immigrants groups.

Also, that’s kind of ironic about Eugene V. Debs because the guy in charge of the entire APUSH grading process wrote some kind of a book about Eugene V. Debs.

I thought that was pretty easy; none of the essays really took me by surprised or anything. I mean Vietnam War, I would think most people would know a lot about that because it’s recent history. I did essays 2 and 5. Multiple choice was easy except a couple random questions.

I took 2 and 4 — dbq was great, but i wrote START I instead of SALT. Does this affect my point greatly? Or the terms are easily confused that the readers would just accept my error?
