guys someone’s messing around with the ap bio google doc
can someone make a new one?

@huhululu I had form O and actually found most FRQs easy, especially the common sense enviro.sci. ones. albeit, I BSed 2 of them due to lack of time, but I found it a lot easier than I expected actually, since I took the exam cold (no prep lol)

what did people put as the independent and dependent variables for the first FRQ on form O?

@Remembrance
ind. : number of spiky things
dep.: herbivory of the plants

This is a guess

Just change the independent and dependent variables and that’s the answer.

wait, why? The level of eating depends on the number of spikes: more spikes = less eating ,etc…

Independent was presence of herbivore and how many, dependent was number of trichomes per cm squared

i agree that form O frqs were really difficult. number 1 completely stumped me as we never went over it and i just skipped thermoregulation.

I had form I … The FRQs are so hard as hell. There is one question where they ask about the gene transcription with 7 pieces of exons with signal molecule binding site, transmembrane protein and protein kinase. And its function is to produce amino acid 565. And you guys are saying frqs are so easy so I was surprised… T__T I totally blew up that. All my FRQs are about DNA, codons.

That’s what I’m saying: The herbivores don’t affect the trichomes, the trichomes affect the herbivores. The plants have the number of trichomes that they have: this number of trichomes tells herbivores which plants to eat.

Hi, there has been a lot of debate over the endotherm ectotherm question. I’m not trying to persuade anyone to believe one over the other but here is a graph of an endotherm showing co2 perminute which is equaivalent of o2 consumption:

<a href=“Chapter IV. The Regulation Of Temperature”>Chapter IV. The Regulation Of Temperature;

@skyisover I liked the one FRQ about the Autonomic nervous response (reflex arc) b/c, just by looking at the picture, you could BS the FRQ (like I did, lol) just by reading

I said IV = number of herbivores in area, and DV = number of spiky things.

I said this because natural selection will chose the amount of spiky things as a result of the number of herbivores we put in the area to test.

also, control = area without any herbivores?

See, because I reversed the Ind/Dep, my control is messed up too. I think for control, i said a plant w/ 0 trichomes, so you could see the relation btwn trichomes/herbivory

@ivyhopes12 do you think that even if you messed up the IV/DV, they will give you credit for a correct control if it matches your variables?

I can’t see them being that benevolent…the right variables are needed for a correct control in the experiment

Well, I guess O was harder than I thought lol

do they release scoring guidelines as well when they release the actual FRQ ?

I would hope so

ugh so annoying that no one had form d but if you did then hmu <a href=“Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat”>Live video chat rooms, simple and easy. - Tinychat;
