If you completed it before or during Fall 2012, you’re fine. If you are completing now(Spring 2013), they you’re at a disadvantage. I’m taking stats Spring 2013 so I’m at a disadvantage.

^Yes, I can verify. This is from an e-mail response to me from one of their admission counselors:

“Yes, we advise students to complete their English and Math by the end of the fall term in which they apply, so we can see the grades and know that the applicant has passed those courses.”

That stinks. Oh well nothing we can do now I guess! :/

They told me that it helps having good grades in your remedial math classes. I’m hoping my straight A’s in Elementary math and Intermediate math help me.

Lol hope that helps me too! Maybe high gpa will help like you said also

a guy got rejected last year with a 3.9 because his math (and I think English as well) was in progress instead of completed.

That he did. He had like a 3.8 or 3.9 and they rejected him because of that. He later appealed and got admitted though.

lol. I have a 3.8 so that is depressing.

i have a 3.75 but i’m worried i’ll get rejected because of my math and english in progess :(

I was looking at last year’s thread… A lot of ppl that had both math and English ip were rejected while some that only had math ip got in. But that’s neither here nor there, didn’t look very good for both cases… You never know though

T-minus 16 hours until we find out decisions. Prepare your buttholes everyone.

UCSB is my top choice I am so nervous to see if I got in. I received the invitation to the chancellor’s reception invite from UCSB as a “top applicant”… I just want to know already ):

^Are you a transfer student or freshman?

Does anybody know what time decisions will be out?

3:00 PM. MAYBE a little earlier.

@larinaga do you think UCSB will likely reject me since I have one Econ and one English course IP?

@tcccom I know I’m not larinaga, but it depends what english course is in IP. If it’s one of the ones needed on IGETC, then MAYBE. Who really knows for sure.

@xcballin thanks bro! actually it’s the second English-comp course: the critical thinking one. I just scanned the decision thread from last year. There were really some people getting rejected because of putting second English-comp course IP, which really scares me.

@tcccom Oh dang. All I can say is I hope for the best for you man! Hope both of us find out a decision tomorrow!

@xcballin Thank you man! you are all nice guys! Best of luck to you too!
