@isk8jen Pre-calculus. It’s possible to get a 36 with just Pre-cal since the highest math the ACT includes is trigonometry.

@isk8jen - just do as many practice tests in Math as you can. The math should be similar - the hard problems vary the most, but the best way to score highly in Math is to do a lot of practice tests. You can find several for free online (2 alone on the ACT website).

I also got sec x tan^2 x. Someone care to explain?

what was the answer to the one with a triangle and a line. with 4y and 11y and then 42 was the angle inside? please help!

I got 89 for that one ^

I also got 89.

What about the girl running at +4km? Positive slope?

That’s what I got. ^
since it was traveled distance vs. time

@jkim this is the trig identity question solved:

Are you 100% positive that was the question? I thought the tanx was multiplied, not divided??

It is for sure secx

^ Yeah, the tanx was in the denominator.

Do you guys remember what answer choice (A, B, C, D, E or F,G…) secx was?

Definitely sec x

@master: I can’t remember the answer choice

@ephemeralbliss aww man I forget if I put positive slope or circle. If I put circle I feel like such an idiot now haha. I guess what might have thrown me off is the queston saying she started and finished at home. Are we sure it said TOTAL distance (y-axis) vs time (x-axis)?

sec x was second to last one.

what were the answers for the questions with the animals?

@omaha7878
105/225
70%? where it asked for whole percentage of those who owned only one type of pet
the first question asked about the estimated value of those who owned ___ as a whole population…
and i forget the rest.

@Jim I got 70% for that question as well

ugh it asked for perecent not number?
