I know by now we've all seen our status on the myberkeleyapp site, but who has recieved a letter at this point? I live in the bay area and haven't revieved anything... is that wierd?

i didn even get an official letter last year...

seriously? Do you attend Berkeley now?

I live in the South Bay and I got it. It was all nice and pretty. Unlike SD's printer paper.

hmm... when did you get it? Saturday? I'm hoping mine comes soon.. I live in the North Bay so maybe it takes a while lol? have u gotten financial aid as well? TheBearFacts site says i Can't access my aid.

I also recieved the official letter, along with the blue-cardstock folder-like thing with velcro.

yes i come here now lol

lol i think im just being way paranoid but what if the website messed up and i'm really NOT admitted.....

I believe all the admitted applicants will get an official letter, but not those rejected ones ...

I got the letter yesterday.

I didn't get a letter yet. I did, however, receive a postcard saying "Congratulations." Is this to be taken as my letter? I was hoping for a nice folder like LA's. =)

lol same here bluepepsi

haha i got the same thing as BluePepsi. It was a postcard sayin Congratulations with dates of the receptions on the back. I was like...uhhh I think I'll go to UCLA since they have a nicer letter...

I think that postcard is just a separate invitation for the receptions. Im guessing someone had bad timing and we all recieved it before the actual acceptance package.

haha, it's the only thing I have received as well. I laughed when I saw it, thinking that was their acceptance "packet." (I know they said on their website they don't even send letters out to rejects, so it's obvious they're cheap)

Okay, just curious. My D received a congrats you've been admitted postcard on Saturday. Today the mail contained a packet and the following was readable w/out opening it up: congrats you have been admitted for the spring semester 2007! Isn't that kinda tacky, not to send that caveat out first? She isn't planning to go to UCB, but I'd like to know if that kind of sloppiness in typical.

I was kinda dissappointed by the sloppyness of the packet... The envelope "window" was wayy larger than it shoulda been. Won't effect my decision, but still, kinda lame.

Yes I got both the post card and the fat packet today and I live in the Bay Area. The envelope was.. meh.

If I had read previous posts more carefully I would have realized it is indeed a mailing snafu. Lame is the word. But congrats to all who got in and welcome to the East Bay to all who plan to attend. This is a great place to live.

ucla's folder was cooler :(
