Darn it, I just realized that I didn’t write net ionic equations for #4…guess that’s -2. Anyone know what the policy is for this? Completely off?

You might not get any points…maybe one for it being balanced. Generally it’s two points for reactants, two points for products, one for a balanced equation.

@Bear Eh…I feel 2012 was easier than this year.

@Niquii77 whats the last question about again?
i rushed partB and ran back to partA

The last question was with the Lewis for diagrams.

MC was pretty easy, but the FRQ…I don’t know how I did. I wish there were acid/base equilibrium questions on it; that was my favorite part about Chem.

I’m not very familiar with how curves work on ap tests. It seems like many people struggled with the FRQ and likewise many people are saying “hoping for a large curve.”

Generally, how much of an impact does a curve make on an ap exam and do the curves really change significantly year to year? Is it realistic to expect a score changing curve this year being that almost unanimously people struggled on Section II (Parts A and B)

Generally, ~65% gets you a 5. I go to a pretty competitive school in California, and the general consensus was that FRQ #6 was hard, along with the first 8 problems on MC (but then again, those 8 were just memorization of rules), so perhaps the curve will be 60%.

I hate when people on here just say “X was so easy”. It was probably easy for you, but not for everyone else.

For me, I found the MC really easy, but the electrochem frq to be difficult since my class didn’t cover electro. Besides that, I’ll probably get a 3 or 4 depending on the curve.

MCs were fairly uninteresting. FR was somewhat more difficult than expected, but it was still pretty easy overall. Chem Olympiad really helped make this test easy, at least for me.

Really, relativelysmart?

Failed logic…

I included the “I” to say I personally found it to be easy/hard. Not “it was so easy oh my god if you don’t get a 5 you’re a moron”.

facepalm

But you are implying the same thing…

I thought the FRQ was simple, just basic stuff, but MC wow, that was like SURPRISE ****!

Did we get the same tests???

I dunno, what was ur FRQ about?

Part A of the MC was harder than usual I think. The rest of the MC went pretty well.
I felt really rushed on the FRQs though. And I scribbled all over question one, trying to redo one part, then scribbling that out, then just drawing an arrow to another part of the page, then deciding I don’t like that part of the page, crossing the arrow out, and just using another page for that one problem.

Overall, I’m thinking I got around 80% of the MC and at least 50% of the FRQs. I’m hoping that’s a 5, but I’m not too sure. It seems more like a 4.

My teacher kept on telling me that I was gonna get a 5. I don’t want to disappoint her.
:(

@relativelysmart Hey, you said it, not me.

I am pretty sure I destroyed that test
